Information for U.S. Scholars
Inter-Country Travel Grants
Approximately 250 U.S. lecturers and researchers representing a variety of academic fields participate in the Fulbright Scholar Program in Europe. There is the possibility of inviting a grantee placed in a country other than his/her host country.
If you are invited to lecture in another country, you would notify the Czech Fulbright Commission and ask your contact person in the host country to contact a Fulbright Commission of that country. It is this Commission that arranges for travel and the host contact arranges for lodging in a host country.
Travel expenses of intercountry exchanges would be paid, in general, by the Commission of the inviting country. A university hosting a particular visit would cover lodging. Intercountry grants must take place during your grant period and should not exceed two weeks.
Also, you and your Czech host may explore the list of other U.S. Fulbright grantees in Europe and consider if your host institution would like to invite a U.S. Fulbright scholar from another country.
Reports
Fulbright scholars who lecture or conduct research for two semesters in the Czech Republic are asked to submit their mid-term report by the end of their first semester and their final reports by the end of their stay in the Czech Republic. Fulbright scholars who stay for one semester only are asked to submit their final reports by the end of their stay. A report can be sent via regular mail or e-mail; however, it must be authorized by signature if e-mailed.
