22.7.2010 - The list of 25 U.S. Fulbright fellows arriving to the Czech Republic in academic year 2010-2011 is now available on our website.
22.7.2010 - From July 17 to August 7, 16 U.S. teachers are discovering the Czech Republic on a prestigious Fulbright-Hays grant. Six-week program supported by the U.S. Department of Education has started in Hungary, the second half of the seminar is being held in Brno and Prague. The seminar is focused on history and culture of the respective countries and intends to introduce the educational system and its development.
21.7.2010 - The list of 39 Czech Fulbright fellows heading to the United States in academic year 2010-2011 is now available on our website.
7.7.2010 - The Fulbright Teaching Assistant Matthew Greene will help Czech high school students in Havlíčkův Brod improve their English language skills and teach them about American culture, while refining his Czech and immersing himself in the country's culture. Matthew's story was featured in The Westerly Sun on June 28.
27.5.2010 - The Annual Report of the Fulbright Commission for the year of 2009 contains details about awarded fellowships, grantees, Advising Center activities and funding. The document can be downloaded in PDF format from our website.
1.4.2010 - Our colleagues at IIE/CIES have produced an online catalog of 2011-2012 awards available for the U.S. scholars. The catalog is the authoritative source for available grants. It features information about available teaching and research opportunities as well as contact information for U.S. based program staff. The core competition for 2011-2012 academic year grants is currently open. With the exception of the seminar offerings, the deadline for all awards is Monday, August 2, 2010.
31.3.2010 - From March 21 to March 25, Prague was hosting the EducationUSA Triennial Workshop for advisers from Europe and Eurasia and their U.S. guests. More than 200 participants discussed ways how to encourage transatlantic exchange of students and the role of the EducationUSA network supported by the State Department in this process.
2.3.2010 - WanderingEducators.com, an online global community of informed, engaged educators, published an article on the EducationUSA, a global network of 400+r advising centers that serve as the official source on U.S. higher education opportunities for students in 170 countries. The article includes an interview with Marty Bennett, the EducationUSA Marketing Coordinator at the Institute of International Education.
14.12.2009 - The National Clearinghouse on Disability and Exchange (NCDE) and the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the U.S. Department of State are pleased to announce the release of a special issue of A World Awaits You (AWAY). AWAY addresses frequently asked questions that arise for high school, college and university students and faculty, musicians, athletes, coaches and other professionals with disabilities when venturing on international exchanges.
11.12.2009 - Some US secondary schools motivates their teachers to apply for international exchange programs including the Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program. The video on YouTube shows some of the possibilities and also well demonstrates the support international exchange participants are given during their US stay. One of foreign exchange teachers presented on photographs in this video is our current Czech grantee in the US, Dana Mikeskova from Střední průmyslová škola, Frenštát pod Radhoštem.
17.11.2009 - EducationUSA, the official source on U.S. higher education, has launched its newly redesigned website with information for prospective international students as well as the U.S. higher education community. Learn about opportunities and services offered by the EducationUSA network!
21.9.2009 - U.S. alumni of the Fulbright program in the Czech Republic can now join the new group on the Facebook.
