Czech Fulbright Comission celebrates 30 years

Signature of binational agreement between the USA and former Czechoslovakia in January 1991 started Fulbright cultural and academic exchange in the Czech Republic. For 30 years we contribute to the global Fulbright program, which celebrates 75 years of its existence. Within the three decades we have sent and received almost 2000 grantees together in both directions.

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jiri Dienstbier and the US Ambassador Shirley Temple Black. Presence of the President Vaclav Havel and Deputy State Secretary Lawrence Eagleburger emphasized the importance of this memorandum for both countries.
