I Want to Become an English Teaching Assistant
The English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program places Fulbrighters in classrooms in the Czech Republic to provide assistance to English teachers at local secondary schools outside Prague. ETA’s help teach English language while serving as cultural ambassadors for the U.S. Applicants for English Teaching Assistant Programs can apply to only one country.
Applications are welcome from graduating seniors interested in all academic fields, and/or graduate students interested in international education. Previous teaching experience is preferred. Positions require teaching up to 20 hours per week. Additionally, grantees are encouraged to have a supplementary project, such as a film club, conversation club or cooking class, to further engage with their students and local communities.
The program in the US is administered by Institute of International Education. All information and online application can be found at the IIE website.
Applicants are encouraged to consult their applications and supplementary projects with the Commission.
